Lighthouse
At Cape Disappointment you’ll find Washington’s most iconic Lighthouse. A lighthouse’s main purpose is to emit light to aid maritime navigation, and yet it feels like this does so much more.
Paired with a Cherry frame, bringing out the subtle hints of orange in the rocks, it provides an extension to the photo without adding any distractions.
This Rose
I travelled all around Washington to take photos for this project, but for this picture I only had to take a couple steps off my back patio. If I were a poet, this rose would inspire me to a Nobel Prize. But unfortunately, I’m not a poet, the words I possess can do no justice to this rose.
